Ashley Solomon, RCM Head of Historical Performance, directs this concert celebrating the works of Bach.
The composer’s atmospheric orchestral suite opens the programme, featuring the celebrated ‚Air on the G String‘ in the second movement. This is followed by his expressive and inventive sacred cantatas, sung by the RCM Chamber Choir, and a performance of Vivaldi’s technically demanding Recorder Concerto with RCM Concerto Competition winner Hannah Parry as soloist.
