\u201cThe French Song Exchange returns with three recitals: two Wigmore Hall lunchtimes and a performance at the iconic Salle Cortot in Paris. Devised by Fran\u00e7ois Le Roux and Dame Felicity Lott, two great exponents of the m\u00e9lodie<\/em>, in collaboration with John Gilhooly, the French Song Exchange offers eight gifted singers a year of coaching from their mentors, culminating in showcase performances.<\/p>\n The first group of singers display their take on keystones of the genre \u2013 including Lalo<\/strong>, Falla <\/strong>and Viardot<\/strong> as well as favourites by Debussy<\/strong> and Duparc<\/strong> \u2013 and lesser-known gems \u2013 with songs by Elsa Barraine<\/strong> and Jean Cras<\/strong> \u2013 some of which are receiving their first performance at Wigmore Hall.
